The central topics of the lecture are electrochemical principles and measurement methods of corrosion as well as an overview to corrosion prevention methods. This includes:
- Basics of corrosion elements
- Methods for the determination of corrosion rates
- Initiation of Crevice corrosion
- Efficacy of corrosion protection – determined with Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy
