As a reliable partner the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) supports politics, economy and civil society to better understand the consequences of human activity and to develop options for civil decision processes. The UFZ takes up societal challenges and produces knowledge and technologies that should help to detect prob-lems in the fields of tensions between environ-ment and society at an early stage and to develop precautionary solutions.
