Nanoparticulate reactive sorbents

These so-called reactive sorbents are able not only to retain various toxic substances on their surface, but also to decompose them to non-toxic or less-toxic residua. The reactive sorbents are effective in the decomposition of organophosphate pesticides (parathion methyl, paraoxon, chlorpyrifos, fenchlorphos and others) as well as some flame retardants and cytostatics. In cooperation with the Military Research Institute, their ability to destroy the most dangerous nerve gases (soman, VX agent) as well as blistering agents (mustard gas) and other chemical warfare agents (CWAs) have been demonstrated. An efficiency of the new reactive sorbents exceeded an efficiency of the decontamination agents commonly used in armed forces over the world.
